Sideroblastic anemia is an acute condition where erythrocytes our red blood cells are prevented from absorbing iron consequently less hemoglobin a protein which carries oxygen to various parts of the body, is produced. Due to less absorption of iron by the red blood cells iron is accumulated in the body parts and the metabolism mechanisms of the body is coaxed to produce more iron, which in turn never gets absorbed in the red blood cells and iron further gets concentrated in the bones and other body parts thus, damaging the tissue due to over production and concentration density of iron in the body.

Sideroblastic anemia is a disease of “youth” and generally evident at the age of 30. Sideroblastic anemia appears in different proportion in different races due to genetic faults or slightly different genetic makeover of chromosomes. Sideroblastic anemia is a ferrous related rare disease and reported only in hundreds world wide, but its presence in human life signifies that nature will continue to produce new tools to balance the ever increasing human population bent on polluting and destroying mother earth. By plundering nature man has filled the beautiful blue planet with smoke and smog, thus inviting new diseases and sicknesses though genetic mutations of the chromosome and it is high time that we endeavor to do something or else we will also suffocate with our red blood cells.
